Parker Posey exits horror film Sleepover, says project 'not happening'
The actress told Today host Craig Melvin that she is no longer attached to the upcoming horror film after 'something came up'.
Parker Posey is no longer part of the upcoming horror film Sleepover, the actress said during a Monday interview on Today with host Craig Melvin, according to comingsoon.net. Posey said the project is not happening anymore and cited "something came up" as the reason for her departure.
Posey had previously been attached to Sleepover. The exchange on the morning show also included a misunderstanding, in which Posey took Melvin's use of the word "horror" as an insult.
The casting update comes as Posey promotes her reality competition series The Mob, which premiered on Hulu on October 26, 2026. She will next appear in Martin McDonagh's Wild Horse Nine, scheduled for theaters on November 6, 2026.
In March 2025, Posey appeared on Today to discuss her role in HBO's The White Lotus Season 3, and a clip of her Southern accent went viral.
