Patrick Wilson has been cast as Jerry, Abby's father, in The Last of Us season 3, according to screenrant.com. He takes over the role from Darren Dolynski, who played Jerry in the season 1 finale.
Jerry's role is expanded in Abby's flashbacks in the third season, giving the character more screen time than in his earlier appearance.
Dolynski's version of Jerry appeared only in the closing stretch of season 1, when Joel and Ellie reached the Fireflies.
In that finale, the Fireflies' doctors determined a vaccine could be reverse-engineered from Ellie's mutated brain, a procedure that would kill her, and Joel stopped them.
