The Producers Guild of America has elected Donna Gigliotti and Mike Farah as its new presidents, the guild announced. The two succeed Donald De Line and Stephanie Allain, who have led the PGA since 2022.
Gigliotti brings a long awards-season resume to the role. She won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 1998 for producing Shakespeare in Love, and earned three further Best Picture nominations for Hidden Figures, Silver Linings Playbook and The Reader.
Her television work includes an Emmy nomination in 2019 for producing the Academy Awards telecast for ABC, and a second Emmy nomination in 2023 for the documentary Wuhan Wuhan. She also served a six-year term on the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, including as Governance Chair and Finance Chair.
Farah's career began at Funny Or Die, where he joined in 2008 as its first producer and later became CEO. He has won two Emmys for producing Between Two Ferns and Billy on the Street and American Vandal, and took Outstanding Television Movie in 2023 for Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. He once worked as Allain's assistant.
