Phantom of the Opera 40th Anniversary Live Recording Heads to Cinemas in 2027

Universal Pictures Content Group, LW Entertainment and Cameron Mackintosh have partnered to produce a live recording of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera for cinema release in 2027, according to Deadline. Brett Sullivan will direct the screen version of the live recording.

Dione Orrom will produce the live recording, with Helen Parker as executive producer. The film will capture a special gala performance marking 40 years of the production at His Majesty's Theatre on 9 October 2026.

The anniversary company is led by Jordan Donica as The Phantom, Beatrice Penny-Touré as Christine Daaé and Rhys Whitfield as Raoul.
