Picture Tree International has picked up international sales rights to the comedy "Raging Moms" ("Komplizinnen"), the Berlin-based company said. PTI will screen the film as a market premiere for buyers at the upcoming American Film Market.
Leonine Studios will release "Raging Moms" in German theaters on Jan. 21, 2027. The film is written and directed by Sonja Heiss.
The cast is led by Laura Tonke, Heike Makatsch, Katharina Marie Schubert and Anne Ratte-Polle, with Tom Schilling, Christoph Maria Herbst and Trystan Pütter also starring.
"Raging Moms" is a Wiedemann & Berg Film production, produced by Johanna Bergel, Quirin Berg and Max Wiedemann. The film received funding from the German Federal Film Fund (DFFF), the German Federal Film Board (FFA), Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and FFF Bayern.
Wiedemann & Berg Film's past productions include "Weekend Rebels," "Welcome to Germany," "Never Look Away" and "The Lives of Others." Heiss's earlier film "When Will It Be Again Like It Never Was Before" earned her a German Film Award nomination for Best Director.
