Pinggyego named top entertainment show in JoyNews24 survey
The YouTube talk show becomes the first web variety to top the outlet's annual industry poll, its producers say.
The YouTube talk show 핑계고 has been chosen as the best entertainment show of the year in a survey of entertainment industry insiders conducted by JoyNews24 for its 22nd anniversary, according to the outlet. It is the first time a web entertainment show has taken the top entertainment title in the survey.
The 뜬뜬 production team said the result was unexpected and especially meaningful as a first for a YouTube variety show.
The team also said that 깡촌캉스 시즌2 will return in November, and that the year-end 핑계고 시상식 event will be held again.
핑계고 is the flagship talk show of the YouTube channel 뜬뜬 and is billed as host Yoo Jae-suk's "welfare content." Other spinoff and event content from the channel includes 풍향고, 깡촌캉스 and 핑계고 시상식.
In March, a special episode titled "100분 토크는 핑계고" featuring Kim Nam-gil, Yoon Kyung-ho and Ju Ji-hoon passed 20 million views, while an August episode titled "기념일은 핑계고" with BIGBANG's Taeyang, G-Dragon and Daesung passed 10 million views, according to the facts provided. Yoo Jae-suk has hosted numerous talk programs, including 유 퀴즈 온 더 블럭.
