Marie Clements' three-part musical documentary series Reclaim My Skin will screen at the Vancouver International Film Festival on Oct. 10, according to Variety.
The series examines how colonization stripped Indigenous women and Two-Spirit people of power, and how they are reclaiming their voices through activism, politics and the arts.
Reclaim My Skin grew out of conversations between Clements and musician and composer Pura Fé, whose performance is featured in the series.
The series also includes Clements' interview with Gloria Steinem, conducted in New York alongside Indigenous activists Louise Wakerahkats:te Herne and Michelle Schenandoah.

Three days before the Reclaim My Skin screening, Clements won a top prize at VIFF for her feature Where We Stand. She previously made the music documentary The Road Forward.
