Author Pierce Brown said at an event that Paramount's film adaptation of Red Rising is being built as a faithful take on his novel, and that he wants it to follow the blueprint of Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy, according to screenrant.com.
Brown said he and director Francis Lawrence have been friends for eight years. Justin Rhodes is writing the screenplay.
