Skydance UK Producer Ricochet Lays Off About 10 Staff

Ricochet, the Skydance UK-owned producer behind The Repair Shop, has laid off around 10 staff, including creative chief Damon Pattison.

Ricochet, the Skydance UK-owned producer best known for The Repair Shop, has laid off around 10 staff, according to Deadline. A Ricochet spokeswoman confirmed the layoffs had already taken place but declined further comment.

The departures represent just under a third of Ricochet's 24 staff across its Brighton and Glasgow offices. Creative chief Damon Pattison and Rob Butterfield, who ran the Scotland office, were among those laid off. Joanna Ball remains the company's managing director.

Pattison joined Ricochet more than two years ago after leaving the UK arm of Beyond Productions. During his time at the company, he picked up the rights to the Australian series Muster Dogs and landed the Guz Khan commission.

Ricochet is one of a trio of UK indies owned by Warner that now fall under the Skydance banner, along with Wall to Wall Media and Twenty Twenty.

The cuts come amid wider contraction in the UK production sector. In October 2025, the BBC and Channel 4 were making hundreds of roles redundant, and sales executives had left the newly merged Banijay outfit following the close of the All3Media deal.
