ABC has confirmed that Sarah Macdonald will return to 702 ABC Sydney to host Afternoons starting in March 2027. The announcement was made by ABC director of audio Ben Latimer.
Macdonald will take over the Afternoons slot left vacant following the death of James Valentine in April. Until she begins, James O'Loghlin will continue hosting the program.
The move brings Macdonald back to the station two years after ABC removed her from the Mornings program at 702 ABC Sydney in 2024.
Other current presenters on the station include Craig Reucassel on Breakfast and Hamish Macdonald on Mornings. Thomas Oriti replaced Chris Bath in the Drive slot.
