Scott Glosserman to Direct iHunt Film Adaptation
The adaptation of Olivia Hill and Filamena Young's novels and tabletop RPG comes with a companion TV pilot and a Vertical series in development.
Scott Glosserman has been set to direct iHunt: Killing Monsters in the Gig Economy, a film adaptation of the novels and tabletop RPG by Olivia Hill and Filamena Young, according to Bloody Disgusting. Hill wrote the screenplay.
The film is presented in association with Anarchists United Studios. Lilly Wachowski, Sarah Marie Flores and Lawrence Mattis are executive producers.
The project extends beyond a single feature. Anne Cofell Saunders is attached as showrunner on a companion TV pilot set in the same city but built around a different cast of characters. That pilot follows Lana, who leads a crew of broke hunters taking gigs through the app until a hospital job turns into a monster infestation and draws the attention of ancient vampire executive Arthur.
A Vertical series titled #iHunt: A Night in the Life is also in development.
Older ground for the director
Glosserman directed the meta cult classic Behind the Mask and is working on its upcoming sequel. Hill and Young have said #iHunt has been their focus for the past 10 years.
