Sean Harmon Returns to NCIS as FBI Agent Casey Bloom in Origins Season 3

Harmon, who played Young Gibbs until 2020, is now appearing as FBI agent Casey Bloom in the NCIS: Origins prequel, according to screenrant.com.

Sean Harmon has returned to the NCIS franchise after six years, now playing FBI agent Casey Bloom in season 3 of NCIS: Origins rather than Young Leroy Jethro Gibbs, according to screenrant.com. He has made a couple of appearances as Casey Bloom in the prequel so far this season.

Harmon first played the young version of Gibbs in the 2008 episode "Heartland," and his final outing in the role came in 2020's "Everything Starts Somewhere." In 2024, the part was recast with Austin Stowell for NCIS: Origins, which follows Gibbs before his time at the flagship team.

The franchise's expansion continues elsewhere on CBS. Scott Caan, known for playing Danny Williams in Hawaii Five-0, has been cast as Nick Schaeffer in NCIS: New York, where he appears alongside LL Cool J's Sam Hanna.

Mark Harmon, Sean Harmon's father and the actor who played Gibbs for nearly two decades, left the flagship NCIS in 2021.
