Sicario: Day of the Soldado Nears 30 Days in VOD Top 10
The 2018 sequel, written by Taylor Sheridan and directed by Stefano Sollima, has stayed near the top of VOD charts on Prime Video and Apple TV.
Sicario: Day of the Soldado has spent close to 30 days in the top 10 on VOD platforms since the start of October, according to collider.com. Viewers have been renting or buying the 2018 crime thriller through services including Prime Video and Apple TV.
The film was recently removed from streaming, and its run on VOD charts has followed that removal. The sequel is written by Taylor Sheridan and directed by Stefano Sollima.
Sheridan wrote the follow-up three years after the box office success of Sicario, the 2015 film directed by Denis Villeneuve. Villeneuve did not return for the sequel, with Sollima taking the director's chair.
Sheridan's television work has stayed busy alongside the film's VOD performance. His show Marshals premiered in 2026 and has already returned for Season 2. Before writing films such as Wind River and Hell or High Water, he wrote an episode of Yellowstone.
