Skeet Ulrich Says No Scream Return Without Melissa Barrera
Skeet Ulrich told US Weekly he cannot return to the Scream franchise without Melissa Barrera, saying the planned three-film arc was never completed.
Skeet Ulrich said his return to the Scream franchise is unlikely without Melissa Barrera, in an interview with US Weekly. Ulrich said that without Barrera and her character Sam Carpenter, there is no Billy Loomis.
He also said he and the team did not get to complete the three-film arc that had been discussed.
Ulrich first played Billy Loomis in the original Scream in 1996. He later made surprise appearances as visions in 2022's Scream and 2023's Scream VI, with Barrera starring as Sam Carpenter.
Barrera was fired from the franchise in late 2023, ending her run as Sam. Ulrich recently reunited with Matthew Lillard, who played Stu Macher, to record a live commentary while watching Scream together.
