Spider-Man: Brand New Day Kids Named After Zendaya's Nephew and Niece

Two child characters in Spider-Man: Brand New Day carry the names of Zendaya's nephew and niece, a connection fans have flagged online. The characters, EJ and Marlee, are the children of Jean DeWolff in the film.

The observation was shared on X by the account @cosmic_marvel and picked up by comingsoon.net. Zendaya plays MJ in the film.

Other details from the film have also drawn attention. Ned Leeds' Instagram username in the film is @thegratefulned42, and MJ wears the broken Black Dahlia necklace from Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Peter Parker develops organic webbing in the film, echoing Tobey Maguire's version of the character in Sam Raimi's trilogy. The film also references the Manfredi crime family and the Department of Damage Control.

Spider-Man: No Way Home ended with MJ no longer remembering Peter Parker.
