Stallone Says He Has Written the Script for Rocky 7
The actor and franchise creator told TV Insider he wrote the story for himself and also raised the idea of a 1960s-set prequel.
Sylvester Stallone said he has written the script and story for Rocky 7, in an interview with TV Insider. The actor, who plays Rocky Balboa and created the franchise, described the idea as a chance to explore Rocky's life outside the ring and how the world and his neighborhood are changing around him.
Stallone added that he did not know whether the idea would interest most people, and that he wrote it for himself. He also said there might be an opportunity for a prequel set in the 1960s.
No production start, studio involvement or release date for Rocky 7 was mentioned.
