Part of a wider Star Trek: Starfleet Academy push
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is set in the 32nd century, roughly a thousand years after most other Star Trek series. In that era, a disaster known as The Burn killed billions and made space travel perilous.
The Lost Contact miniseries ran for five issues last year. On screen, the Star Trek: Starfleet Academy series will debut its second and final season early next year on Paramount+.
