Stephen Carbone, the longtime agent who built and led commercial and celebrity endorsement divisions at ICM and CAA, has died at 84, according to Deadline.
His daughter, Stephanie, told Deadline that Carbone died on August 28 of cholangiocarcinoma.
Carbone launched and built the celebrity endorsements and commercial department at ICM. In 1993 he moved to CAA, where he headed its commercial unit.
Born on September 21, 1941, in New York City, Carbone graduated from Holy Cross College. His career at ICM spanned 16 years.
Among his deals, Carbone helped put together an agreement for Visa to sponsor part of Paul McCartney's 1990 tour. Over the past three decades, he ran a consulting business.
