Sydney Sweeney Keeps Promise to Young Fans on The Housemaid's Secret Set

Sweeney returned between scenes in Hoboken on October 14 to take photos with children, while filming the sequel alongside Michele Morrone.

Sydney Sweeney promised a group of children in Hoboken, New Jersey that she would come back to take photos with them while filming The Housemaid's Secret, and she returned between scenes to keep her word, according to comingsoon.net.

Sweeney was filming scenes with Michele Morrone in Hoboken on October 14. Sweeney is reprising her role as Millie, while Morrone returns as Enzo. Paul Feig directs the sequel, and Paul Anthony Kelly will portray Douglas Garrick.

The Housemaid's Secret follows Millie as she takes a new housekeeping job for a woman she never meets face-to-face, and she uncovers secrets behind a locked door.

The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 17, 2027.

Sequel Follows Original's Success

The Housemaid proved a massive commercial success, earning over $400 million worldwide against a $35 million budget. Lionsgate greenlit the sequel less than a month after the original's theatrical release, and Sweeney and Morrone were confirmed to reprise their roles shortly after the sequel announcement.

Kirsten Dunst joined the cast in March in an undisclosed role. At the Palm Springs International Film Festival in January, Amanda Seyfried told Variety she wanted to see how the story keeps her character relevant.
