Christopher Hampton to Lead Tallinn Black Nights Jury
The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival has named a five-member jury for its 30th edition, led by Oscar-winning screenwriter Christopher Hampton.
The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) has unveiled the five-member jury for the official competition of its 30th edition, with Christopher Hampton set to lead the panel. The festival announced the lineup ahead of its Nov. 6-22 run.
Joining Hampton on the jury are Myriam Sassine, David Stump, Julie Billy, and Tiina Tauraite. The group will oversee the official competition at the Estonian festival.
Hampton is a two-time Academy Award winner for best adapted screenplay, honored for Dangerous Liaisons and The Father. Sassine co-founded the Maskoon Fantastic Film Festival in 2016, while Billy founded June Films in 2020.
The 30th edition will open with Viesturs Kairišs' Ulya. The film world-premiered in the Un Certain Regard program of the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.
