Twin actors Hugo and Patrick McPherson wrap Tangled remake roles

The McPherson twins said they finished filming as the Stabbington brothers; Disney's live-action Tangled is set for March 31, 2028.

Twin actors Hugo McPherson and Patrick McPherson announced on Instagram that they have finished filming their roles as the Stabbington brothers in Disney's live-action remake of Tangled, according to screenrant.com.

The brothers described the shoot as the best six months of their lives and posted images with co-stars Milo Manheim, who plays Flynn Rider, and Teagan Croft, who plays Rapunzel.

While the Stabbington brothers' scenes are complete, it is unclear whether the rest of the cast has finished filming.

Disney's live-action Tangled remake is scheduled for theatrical release on March 31, 2028. Michael Gracey directs from a screenplay by Michael Montemayor and Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.

Elliott Cowan was recently announced as King Frederic, alongside Caitríona Balfe as Queen Arianna. Production took place at Ciudad de la Luz studios in Alicante, Spain, where the Kingdom of Corona streets were built and Rapunzel's tower was constructed entirely in the area.

From animation to live action

Disney's animated Tangled was released in 2010 and became a worldwide success. The Brothers Grimm's 1812 version of the Rapunzel tale popularised the story, which traces back to 1634 and earlier.
