Teyonah Parris Wants Avengers: Doomsday Role, But Marvel Hasn't Confirmed

Teyonah Parris addressed fan theories about Monica Rambeau appearing in Avengers: Doomsday, saying she would love to return but that the decision is not up to her. Her comments do not confirm the character's involvement, and Marvel Studios has not announced Parris or Monica Rambeau in the cast.

Parris also said she would love to continue telling Monica's story. Monica Rambeau was introduced as a child in Captain Marvel before becoming a superhero in WandaVision. Parris later reprised the role in The Marvels, where Monica became stranded in another universe alongside Kamala Khan and Carol Danvers.

Marvel has confirmed a large cast for Avengers: Doomsday, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Anthony Mackie and Paul Rudd. The lineup also includes Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Simu Liu and Letitia Wright.

Several X-Men characters will be featured, with Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn, Alan Cumming and Channing Tatum among the announced stars. The Fantastic Four will be represented by Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn.

Anthony and Joe Russo have directed Avengers: Doomsday from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely. The film is set for release on December 18, 2026.
