'To Be Ordinary' Premieres in Competition at Busan Film Festival

"To Be Ordinary," directed by Lee Yun Chan, had its world premiere in competition at the Busan International Film Festival, where it is the only Taiwanese film selected, according to Variety.

The film marks Lee's return to feature filmmaking after two decades away. It was shot over 42 days, and its Mandarin title literally means "a useful person."

After Busan, the film is set to screen at the Tokyo International Film Festival and the Golden Horse Film Festival. It will open theatrically in Taiwan on Nov. 13, 2026.
