Tokyo Disneyland sets April 15, 2027 opening for Wreck-It Ralph ride

Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue will be the world's first ride-type attraction themed to Wreck-It Ralph, opening on the park's 44th anniversary.

Tokyo Disneyland announced that its new Wreck-It Ralph-themed attraction, titled "Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue," will open on April 15, 2027, according to cinematoday.jp. The opening date, a Thursday, falls on the park's 44th anniversary.

The park said the ride is the world's first ride-type attraction themed to Wreck-It Ralph. Guests board vehicles and operate devices alongside Ralph and Vanellope to turn Sugar Bugs back into sweets.

A new shop called "Pixel Prism," themed as a digital market, opens the same day in an adjacent area. A space-themed popcorn stand, "Popping Station," opens earlier, on March 17, 2027, and will sell a new flavor, Sugar Lime Popcorn.

Ahead of the opening, a smartphone mini-game and limited stickers will be distributed from January 12, 2027. Tomorrowland decorations are scheduled from February 18, 2027, and projection mapping on Cinderella Castle from March 18, 2027.
