Tony Kaye to Direct Five-Minute Short Among Leicester Monster Sculptures
Shooting on Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow? begins Friday, with Hiu Man Chan producing and Louis Lingjaerde as cinematographer.
Tony Kaye will direct a five-minute short titled Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?, set among Leicester's giant monster sculptures in England, with shooting set to begin on Friday. Variety first reported the project.
The short blends documentary with reality drama. Its narrative will take shape around the chosen cast and participants, with the camera capturing chance encounters and real human experiences rather than following a fixed script.
Hiu Man Chan, a film entrepreneur and academic at De Montfort University, is producing. The project pairs Kaye with up-and-coming actors and filmmakers from the university and Leicester's creative scene. Louis Lingjaerde is the cinematographer.
Kaye's first feature, American History X, earned Edward Norton an Oscar nomination for best actor in 1998. The release was fraught: Kaye fell out with New Line Cinema and Norton over the edit, and he later sued the guild and New Line for $200 million, a case dismissed in 2000.
In 2025, Kaye's documentary Humpty Dumpty X world premiered in the Spotlight Documentary section of the Tribeca Festival.
