Vasaria and TerrorBox partner for vertical horror content
Vasaria Pictures will release its short Jezebel as a vertical series on TerrorBox and adapt the screenplay Fate, with select TerrorBox titles eyed for features.
Vasaria Pictures and the horror-focused vertical streamer TerrorBox have formed a partnership to develop short-form vertical horror content, according to deadline.com. The deal covers a vertical series release of Vasaria's short film Jezebel and a vertical adaptation of the screenplay Fate.
Jezebel was directed by Nick Phillips and written by and starring Claire Dellamar, the TikTok creator. The short is inspired by classic Hammer horror films. Under the partnership, TerrorBox will release it as a vertical series.
Vasaria and TerrorBox will also collaborate on the vertical adaptation of Fate, a screenplay by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan. Melton and Dunstan co-founded Vasaria and wrote four instalments of the Saw franchise: Saw IV, Saw V, Saw VI and Saw 3D.
Beyond the short-form releases, Vasaria will explore select TerrorBox titles for potential feature film development, and the company is developing Jezebel as a feature film.
TerrorBox's expanding horror slate
Ryan Justice set up Box Entertainment Group in 2025, and it launched TerrorBox earlier this year as a microdrama service dedicated to horror. TerrorBox recently acquired titles including Dead Signal, written and directed by Rick Shepherd and Benjamin Steeper, and bought the Nightmarish TV library of vertical horror shorts created by Madison Hoover and Jaime Lucero Jr. It also has a deal in place with Echo Cell Productions, led by David Wing, and the Echo Cell Collective.
Jezebel has amassed more than four million views on the horror YouTube channel Alter.
