VisionQuest Episode 4 Sees Ultron Seize Control of Vision's Body

The fourth episode introduces Jocasta, a synthezoid revealed to have been a biotech researcher studying sentient AI, according to Deadline.

The fourth episode of Marvel's VisionQuest was released in the week the series' latest instalment arrived, according to Deadline. In the episode, Ultron persuades Vision to surrender control of the mind space and of his own body.

Paul Bettany plays Vision and James Spader plays Ultron. Terry Matalas is the showrunner on the series, which launched earlier in October 2026.

The episode also sets up a new threat: a synthezoid named Jocasta, revealed to have been a researcher from a biotech group studying sentient AI. Her story arc places the Stark Industries AIs EDITH, FRIDAY, JARVIS, D.U.M.-E. and U inside Vision's mind space.

The series follows on from WandaVision, the 2021 MCU show in which Elizabeth Olsen played Wanda Maximoff. In 2021, WandaVision ended with White Vision regaining his original memories and emotions. VisionQuest shot in the first half of 2025.

Ultron's return to the MCU

Ultron first appeared in 2015's Age of Ultron, in which Tony Stark and Bruce Banner created a sentient AI that decided to exterminate humanity.
