VisionQuest showrunner Terry Matalas has confirmed that the figure hidden in Episode 6 of the Disney+ series is Uatu the Watcher. Matalas announced the cameo on Twitter/X, according to slashfilm.com, ending speculation about the brief sighting.
The moment occurs around the 32:40 mark of the episode, titled 'Deadlock.' Only a pair of eyes and the outline of a humanoid figure are visible behind a door on the right side of the frame, making the character easy to miss on a first viewing.
Episode 6, 'Deadlock,' also features the return of Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar as a bounty hunter in Madripoor. Raza, a Marvel villain who first appeared in the pages of Iron Man, is played by Faran Tahir.
Uatu the Watcher was created in 1963 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby for 'Fantastic Four' #13. The character was the host of Marvel's three-season animated series 'What If...?,' voiced by Jeffrey Wright, and also appeared in the sky over Genosha in Episode 5 of 'X-Men '97' Season 1, 'Remember It.'
