Fumi Nikaido Shares Koji Yakusho Advice at 'Watashi no Shiranai Kodomotachi' Stage Greeting
Fumi Nikaido and director Miwa Nishikawa attended the first-day stage greeting for the film at Shinjuku Piccadilly, where Nikaido recalled advice from Koji Yakusho.
A first-day stage greeting for the film 'Watashi no Shiranai Kodomotachi' was held at Shinjuku Piccadilly on October 16, with the cast and director attending, according to cinematoday.jp.
Fumi Nikaido, actor, and child actors from the film appeared on stage alongside director Miwa Nishikawa.
Nikaido recounted advice she received from Koji Yakusho on her screen debut film 'Gama no Abura' (2009), which Yakusho directed. She said Yakusho told her that crying is not the point, but facing each emotion is, and that not crying can also be the answer.
Nikaido told the child actors that she values what emotion the character feels at that moment rather than consciously trying to cry.
