Production has begun on We Could Be in Love, the romantic comedy directed by Marie Jamora, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film stars Jasmine Curtis-Smith, yao, Jamie Chung, Lou Diamond Phillips, Tamlyn Tomita and Jujubee.
Shooting is set to start next month on location in New York and Manila, Philippines.
The film centers on Jasmine Aquino, a working-class Filipina American woman who falls for Ambrose Lee, the affluent heir to a Chinese-Filipino dynasty.
Terence Chen wrote the script. Geri Leigh Tiu and Sonca Nguyen are producing for Tiger & Dog Production alongside Annie Huang.
