Werwulf to Screen in 35mm at Select Theaters on December 25
Focus Features' Robert Eggers film opens wide the same day, with 35mm tickets on sale now and the ARG entering a second full moon phase.
Focus Features' Werwulf will play in 35mm at select theaters on December 25, the same day the film opens in theaters everywhere through the studio. Tickets for the 35mm screenings are on sale now.
The film is set in 13th century England and centers on a mysterious creature stalking the land. Robert Eggers directs, and the cast includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lily-Rose Depp, Willem Dafoe, Ralph Ineson and Bodhi Rae Breathnach.
The release arrives alongside an alternate reality game that is already running. According to Bloody Disgusting, DevourethAllMankynde.com reopens at 9PM PT on October 25th, which is Midnight ET on October 26th, for a second full moon phase.
Fans have 24 hours to find the next sign, with a prize to be revealed at the November full moon. Focus also launched a Snapchat lens that lets fans scan the actual full moon to reveal that sign for the game.
Two ways to mark December 25
The 35mm bookings give audiences in select cities a film-print option on the same date as the wide release. The film's wide opening and the 35mm screenings both fall on Christmas Day.
