WestEnd Films has boarded world sales for Woody Allen's new feature, a contemporary comedy written and directed by Allen that is set to begin filming in Madrid on October 5. The company will introduce the project to international buyers at the upcoming American Film Market.
The confirmed cast includes Marton Csokas, Jemima Kirke, Jakob Oftebro, Peter Vives and Alexi Wasser. Principal photography will take place in the city and region of Madrid, and the film will be shot in English. A title has not been revealed.
Madrid-based Wanda Vision, Gravier Productions and 3SIX9 Studios are producing. The creative team includes cinematographer José Luis Alcaine, costume designer Sonia Grande and production designer Alain Bainée.
Allen's Spanish History
Spain is familiar territory for Allen. Vicky Cristina Barcelona was shot there in 2008, and Rifkin's Festival followed in 2020. His most recent film, Coup de Chance, premiered at the Venice Film Festival and was sold to distributors in more than 30 countries.
