The cast and filmmakers behind Wicker downplayed the film's explicitness at its Los Angeles premiere on Tuesday, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The R-rated film opens in theaters on Friday.
Olivia Colman stars in and produces Wicker, which was written and directed by Eleanor Wilson and Alex Huston Fischer. Alexander Skarsgård plays the wicker husband, a role performed in a suit made by Wētā Workshop.
A one-night-only 4DX screening is scheduled for Oct. 28. For one scene in that version, in which Colman's character throws out a bucket of urine, the filmmakers asked for water to be splashed on the audience.
