Marvel's X-Men: Outback #5 introduces Cliffhanger, a new non-mutant character

Cliffhanger debuts in Mojo's Murder Video Channel and is described as Longshot's ex in the solicitation for X-Men: Outback #5, written by Steve Orlando.

Marvel Comics introduces a new non-mutant character, Cliffhanger, in X-Men: Outback #5, according to Screen Rant. The issue is written by Steve Orlando, with art by Stephen Segovia and colors by Alex Sinclair.

Preview pages for the issue show Cliffhanger in an all-black leather outfit with a blue bandana and a blue mark around her left eye. She stars in Mojo's new lethal broadcast network, the Murder Video Channel, in the action series Fired Up.

The solicitation for X-Men: Outback #5 confirms that Cliffhanger is Longshot's ex, tying the new arrival to one of the X-Men's established characters.

Mojoworld's longer history

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Mojoworld was at the peak of its popularity in Marvel Comics. Longshot, the rebellion leader with luck-manipulation powers, was a breakout star of the 1980s but has mostly been forgotten in modern comics.

All Fox and Marvel Studios live-action movies so far have ignored Mojoworld and its characters, making the new issue's setting a return to material the films have not touched.
