Florian Zeller and Penélope Cruz appeared at Deadline's Contenders event in London to discuss their upcoming psychological thriller Bunker, according to Deadline. Zeller wrote, produced and directed the film.
Cruz stars as Sofia, the wife of Javier Bardem's character Miguel, a successful London architect who considers an offer to build a survivalist bunker for a tech billionaire. The cast also includes Stephen Graham, Paul Dano and Patrick Schwarzenegger.
Bunker is a French-Spanish co-production. It is produced by Federica Sainte-Rose and Zeller for Blue Morning Pictures, Fernando Bovaria and Simon de Santiago of MOD Producciones, and Alice Dawson. Pathé's Ardavan Safaee and Mediawan's Pierre-Antoine Capton serve as co-producers.

Cruz said she and Bardem had decided not to work together very often in order to protect their relationship. She also said the film's big fight scene was shot across three days and that she began feeling weird a week before shooting it. Zeller said the almost 11-minute fight scene is somewhat the core of the film.
