Report: Marvel's Zodiac to Be Produced on More Modest Budget
The Wrap reports the smaller budget is meant to improve the odds of further seasons; filming is set to begin in 2027 with casting underway.
Marvel Studios' series Zodiac will be produced with a more modest budget than previously expected, according to a report from The Wrap. The smaller budget is intended to raise the chances of the show continuing for more seasons, the report states.
The Wrap also reports that known characters and actors could appear in supporting roles, without naming any. A Marvel TV insider cited by the outlet said the show is meant to serve as a jumping-on point for new fans.
Filming on Zodiac is scheduled to begin in 2027, with casting underway. Amit Cohen and Ron Leshem were brought on as showrunners. Marvel Studios and Disney+ have not commented on The Wrap's report.
Marvel formally announced Zodiac at New York Comic-Con 2026. In October 2026, Deadline reported the story follows a pair of spies chasing targets with special abilities, and in an earlier interview with Collider, Brad Winderbaum said the show would be shot in London and described it as a globetrotting international espionage show. Zodiac is set to premiere in 2028 on Disney+.
