42dot has begun wireless distribution of the first over-the-air software update for Gleo AI, its large language model-based in-vehicle voice AI agent, the company said on October 30, 2026. The update is delivered through Hyundai Motor's Pleos Connect OTA platform and starts with The New Grandeur, according to dailysecu.com.
The release adds tighter links between the voice assistant and navigation. Using the LLM to interpret intent and context, Gleo AI can search for places that sit conveniently along the route actually being driven. For stops where proximity matters — rest areas, gas stations and restrooms — it proposes locations based on the vehicle's current position and distance without the driver having to state any extra conditions.
On-device reading and rear-seat limits
A new on-device function lets a voice command trigger message reading, with a text-to-speech engine voicing the message content. Phone calls and message sending requested by rear-seat passengers are restricted so they are not carried out unintentionally.
Gas station searches now return price information by fuel type. When a route has multiple waypoints, Gleo AI announces details and remaining time for all of them. The update also reworks the logic for Bluetooth music playback so audio starts according to the connection status.
Owners do not need to visit a service center: once the latest Pleos Connect software is distributed, they can install the update by following the on-screen guidance when starting the vehicle. Gleo AI was first introduced through The New Grandeur in May 2026.
