AMD's Jack Huynh visits Nota AI's Seoul office to discuss AI chip cooperation
The AMD computing chief met Nota AI's CEO and CTO for about an hour, following a Korean AI chip roundtable held the previous day.
Jack Huynh, AMD senior vice president and general manager of the Computing and Graphics Group, visited Nota AI's office in Gangnam, Seoul, on October 8, 2026, to examine the company's AI model optimization technology and discuss expanding cooperation in heterogeneous computing, according to zdnet.co.kr.
Huynh was joined by AMD vice president Joe Macri. The two met with Nota AI CEO Chae Myung-soo and CTO Kim Tae-ho for about an hour.
The discussions covered cooperation in heterogeneous computing using CPUs, GPUs and NPUs, spanning physical AI, AI PCs and data centers.
Roundtable precedes the visit
The visit came a day after Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT hosted a Korean AI semiconductor and startup roundtable on October 7, 2026, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Gwanghwamun, Seoul. AMD CEO Lisa Su attended, along with 13 domestic AI companies including Nota, FuriosaAI, HyperAccel, DEEPX, Mobilint, MangoBoost, Panasia, Dnotitia, Moreh, Lablup, Fadu, Rebellions and Upstage.
At that event, Nota CEO Chae Myung-soo presented on-device AI model optimization results based on AMD's Strix Halo processor for high-performance AI PCs and proposed a technology demonstration. Some participating companies, such as Lablup, did not receive a separate site visit from Huynh.
