The update brings user profiles to the Apple TV app, Dual Capture in Group FaceTime and a revamped Up Next queue in Apple Podcasts.
Apple released iPadOS 27.2 on October 26, 2026, a software update for iPad that adds new app features and design changes. The update can be installed from Settings > General > Software Update, according to 9to5mac.com.
On the assistant side, iPadOS 27.2 brings improved Siri AI features and support for additional languages. A Siri shortcut for trackpad or Magic Keyboard text selection, carried over from the Mac, is also included.
Messages gains Suggested Actions, while Group FaceTime adds Dual Capture support. In the Home app, compatible smart locks get new controls.
The Apple TV app now supports user profiles, and Apple Podcasts has a revamped Up Next queue. Apple Music receives a new app icon and design updates, and Apple Books gets updated menus and easier bookmarking.
