Apple brings Siri AI to Korean with iOS 27.2 beta

The iOS 27.2 update also adds four other languages to Siri AI, which runs on Apple Foundation Models built with Google Gemini.

Apple released the iOS 27.2 software update on October 26, 2026, expanding its Siri AI assistant to Korean and four other languages. The Korean version is being offered as a beta, according to aitimes.com.

The Korean beta is not available to users under 13. Siri AI is built on Apple Intelligence and can draw on personal context from messages, emails and photos, and recognize on-screen content to carry out tasks such as adding calendar events.

A dedicated Siri app syncs conversation history across Apple devices. The assistant runs on Apple Foundation Models, which Apple developed in collaboration with Google's Gemini model.

Apple says it does not store personal data even when processing requests in the cloud. Server-based features such as image generation and intelligent image editing carry daily usage limits, and a paid option is expected to be offered later.

English beta came first

Siri AI first launched in an English beta on September 14, about six weeks before the Korean expansion.
