Anthropic Files for Nasdaq IPO Under Ticker ANT
Anthropic's SEC filing reveals a first-half revenue of $16.3 billion and a net loss of $80.7 billion tied to convertible bond accounting.
Anthropic has officially filed an IPO application with the US Securities and Exchange Commission and plans to list on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol ANT, according to TechCrunch. The listing is expected to take place in November, though the company has not disclosed the size of the offering or an expected share price.
The filing shows revenue of $16.3 billion in the first half of this year, alongside an operating loss of $693 million. The net loss for the same period was $80.7 billion, mostly due to non-cash accounting adjustments related to convertible bonds.
Customer data in the filing shows more than 11,900 customers spending over $100,000 annually as of the end of September. Of those, 1,900 spent over $1 million annually and about 250 spent over $10 million annually.
Founders retain control
Anthropic's seven co-founders will keep control after the listing through a "Founders LLC" that exercises 50.1% of shareholder voting rights. The Long-Term Benefit Trust, established in 2023 to uphold the company's public-benefit mission, has the power to appoint most board directors.
In the same period last year, Anthropic reported revenue of $1.2 billion and an operating loss of $2.1 billion.
