Bambu Lab sets November 3 launch for H3C nine-tool 3D printer

Bambu Lab's H3C tool changer will carry nine tools on a front-mounted rack, the company's teaser shows, with full details due on launch day.

Bambu Lab will launch its H3C tool changer 3D printer on November 3, the company has confirmed. The H3C carries nine tools held by a rack mounted on the front of the chamber, according to tomshardware.com.

A teaser video shows the tool rack dropping down and nine colorful Bowden tools arching over the top of the printer. Bambu Lab says more details about the H3C will be revealed on November 3.

The H3C joins Bambu Lab's H-line of flagship printers, which also includes the H2S, H2D and H2C. The H2C, an existing model in the line, is a 7-tool induction-heated nozzle swapper with a motorized Vortex rack and a 330 x 320 x 325mm build volume.

Bambu Lab has also shown interest in machines that do more than 3D printing. At Formnext last year, Dr. Tao said he was interested in creating multitasking machines. The company's A2L printer offers an optional blade cutting and embossing tool, while some users were not impressed with the laser added to the H2D.

An AI-enhanced leak image that showed 10 spools circulating ahead of the announcement is incorrect; the H3C has nine tools.
