Birdbuddy launches three new video bird feeders, replacing the Pro Solar
The $100 Nook, $160 solar Nook and $220 Home all feature 2K HDR cameras with a 135-degree field of view and are available now on Birdbuddy's website.
Birdbuddy has released three new video bird feeders: the Nook at $100, a solar version of the Nook at $160, and the Home at $220. All three are available now on Birdbuddy's website, according to Gizmodo. The launch replaces the Birdbuddy Pro Solar.
All three new models come with 2K HDR cameras offering a 135-degree field of view, up from 122 degrees on the Pro. The cameras support both landscape and portrait orientation, which users rotate manually rather than through the app.
The Birdbuddy Home holds six cups of birdseed and supports both 5GHz and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. The Nook holds 3.8 cups of seed and uses only a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi radio.
Free AI bird identification on the new cameras works manually and covers 11,000 species; automatic identification requires the Birdbuddy Premium subscription, which starts at $70 a year.
The Birdbuddy Pro Solar, which sold for $339, has been discontinued on Birdbuddy's site but remains in stock on Amazon at $240.
