Bluesky launches beta moderation inbox in its app
The inbox collects user reports, moderation actions and account standing, and starts empty even for users who already have a strike.
Bluesky has released a "moderation inbox" feature in beta inside its app, according to Engadget. The inbox brings together the reports users file about other users and posts, the actions taken against their account, and their overall standing on the platform.
The feature is turned on by enabling beta features in the app's Settings menu, then opening the inbox from the Moderation tools menu. The inbox starts empty even for users who have already received a strike.
Most Bluesky moderation decisions can be appealed directly through the app, but suspensions must still be handled at the login screen.
The update also adds an optional home-screen widget that shows trending topics.
Older email notifications
Bluesky previously shared moderation decisions over email, which it said made it hard to reach people using Bluesky on independent servers. In 2025, The Guardian reported that the platform's automated spam system regularly deactivated the accounts of Palestinians crowdfunding for supplies.
