Brazil Dental Clinic Adds Ceiling Monitor for Games During Treatment
A dental clinic in Florianópolis, Brazil, installed a ceiling-mounted monitor so patients can play games or watch videos while reclined, dentist Marco Aurélio Cerqueira said.
A dental clinic in Florianópolis, Brazil, has installed a large monitor on the ceiling of its treatment room, allowing patients to play games or watch videos while reclined in the chair, according to etnews.com.
Dentist Marco Aurélio Cerqueira publicly shared videos of the setup, describing it as a VIP treatment. He said patients can even enjoy classic games during their visit.
The videos show titles such as Super Mario being played from the treatment chair. The monitor is positioned directly above the patient, so the screen stays in view while dental work is carried out.
Foreign media previously described the approach as a creative idea to distract patients with games in an effort to reduce anxiety and tension during dental treatment, as reported in earlier coverage.
