Casio adds analog G-SHOCK 2500 series from 20,900 yen

Casio will launch nine analog-focused G-SHOCK 2500 series models on November 7, 2026, with resin, metal-bezel and full-metal versions.

Casio Computer will release the G-SHOCK 2500 series, a new line built around an analog display, on November 7, 2026. The series will be offered in nine models priced from 20,900 yen to 49,500 yen, according to watch.impress.co.jp.

Four models pair resin cases and bands at 20,900 yen, three use metal-covered bezels at 37,400 to 39,600 yen, and two combine a metal-covered bezel with a metal bracelet at 49,500 yen. Resin-case models use resin dials, while the metal-covered bezel models use brass dials.

The octagonal case is inherited from the original DW-5000C and rebuilt for the new line. The small seconds hand sits in a subdial at the 9 o'clock position and carries a shock-resist mark motif at its tail. A seconds-hand sleep function can stop the hand to cut power consumption and extend battery life.

The watches use a newly developed analog movement made by Yamagata Casio, with a quartz module numbered 5757. A three-cell fan window at 3 o'clock handles the multi-mission date display, showing the date, stopwatch minutes and settings information.

Specifications and sizing

All models offer shock resistance, 20-bar water resistance, a 1-second/30-minute stopwatch, hand retraction, a full auto calendar and an amber LED light, with battery life of about two years. Resin-case models measure 46.7 x 44.5 x 12.7 mm and weigh 47 g; metal-covered bezel models measure 46.7 x 43.8 x 12.9 mm at 68 g; full-metal models share those dimensions at 138 g.

The original G-SHOCK, the DW-5000C, was released in 1983.
