Leaks point to unreleased Claude Fable 5.5 and new codenames

Anthropic has not confirmed partner access or any release schedule for Claude Fable 5.5, according to aitimes.com.

Leaks circulating on October 15 point to unreleased Anthropic models, including Claude Fable 5.5, according to aitimes.com. Anthropic has not officially confirmed partner access or any release schedule for the model.

The leak account Lyra claimed that Anthropic partners had gained access to Claude Fable 5.5. Lyra expected an official release in the week the post was made but said there was no information on a release date.

On the same day, the model-tracking account Lumina Bench said it found the name "claude-onigiri-eap" in the frontend code of the benchmarking company Artificial Analysis. The entry carried four computation-effort variants labeled low, med, high and xhigh. The name disappeared from the site's code a few hours later.

Separately, reports say six unreleased codenames were spotted in Cognition's Devin CLI, among them claude-orzata-eap, claude-boba-eap, claude-vanilla-eap, claude-odango-eap, claude-verrine-eap and claude-onigiri-eap. A developer screenshot showed "claude-odango-eap" in a model selection list next to Claude Fable 5.1 and Claude Sonnet 5.5, though its origin and availability were not confirmed.

Earlier sightings

The name Fable 5.5 previously appeared in a Microsoft Azure model list, where a screenshot showed it as generally available, though pricing and context length may have been copied from Fable 5.1; the entry later disappeared. Anthropic has previously released Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5 and Haiku 5.5.
