Cozysand alarm app launches on iOS and Android with 21 wake-up missions

Cozysand, an alarm app built around wake-up missions, has been released for iOS and Android, according to digitaltoday.co.kr. The app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Cozysand offers 21 alarm-dismissal missions, 10 of which are free. The tasks include walking, math problems, rhythm games, squats and making a facial expression for the camera. The walking mission combines step detection with gait-rhythm analysis, so shaking the phone in bed does not dismiss the alarm.

Users can attach tasks such as "go to the gym" to an alarm; the task is checked off when the matching mission is completed. On Android, a task can be set as a "forced task" that keeps the screen locked until it is finished.

A "ring again if you fall back asleep" feature re-triggers the alarm if the phone stays still at home for a set period, 10 minutes by default. It is off by default and requires "always allow" location permission. On iPhone, a backup alarm is set via Apple AlarmKit and is cleared after more than 20 steps following the alarm.

The free version includes alarms, 10 missions, tasks and location departure alarms, which calculate travel time to reach a frequently visited place by a set time. Pro costs 5,900 won per month or 49,000 won per year and adds the re-ring feature, workout missions and the remaining 11 missions. Max costs 12,900 won per month or 108,000 won per year and adds AI weekly reports. Prices apply to the Korean app store.

The app also provides sleep tracking that estimates sleep and wake times from screen state and movement; the company notes it is not a medical device. Cozysand supports Korean, English, Japanese and Simplified Chinese.
