Deliveroo to Launch Robot Deliveries in Canary Wharf This October

Deliveroo partners with Coco Robotics to begin robot deliveries in London's Canary Wharf in October, with pilots to follow in four other UK cities.

Deliveroo has announced that its first robot deliveries will begin in London's Canary Wharf in October, in partnership with Coco Robotics. The service will initially accept orders from three merchants: Patty & Bun, Signorelli and the restaurant Beam in Wood Wharf. Deliveroo said it will expand to more merchants, including Ole & Steen, at a later stage.

The fully electric robots use onboard sensors, cameras and artificial intelligence to move at walking pace on public streets, according to techradar.com. Deliveroo says the majority of orders will continue to be fulfilled by its rider network.

After the Canary Wharf launch, pilot programs will follow in Milton Keynes, Leeds, Stockton on Tees and Nottingham, covering five UK locations in total.

Since October 2025, Deliveroo has been owned by the US company DoorDash. DoorDash has already partnered with Coco's robots in Los Angeles, San Jose, Chicago, Miami, Washington D.C. and Helsinki.
