Kinetiz finished first, Constructor Racing second, and PoliMove third. TUM withdrew its car after a brake problem during the formation lap. Unimore's car, Gianna, initiated a safety stop after losing all lidar and radar data. PoliMove's car, Eva, detected Gianna ahead but could not avoid the collision.
The race was A2RL's first international competition away from Yas Marina Circuit. A2RL was launched in 2024 to introduce self-driving cars to motorsport. Teams had nine days of physical testing before the race, in conditions including rain and hail.
Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz have crashed at the same part of the Imola track in the past.
